In this role you will:

  • Lead and be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on internal business intelligence, data architecture and digital product data and client reporting
  • Be responsible for analysis and visualisation of datasets
  • Design and deploy appropriate data architecture to enable Lane4s goals and strategies
  • Lead in automation of upstreaming data processing and preparing the data for downstream analysis
  • Lead and implement Lane4’s data strategy, and lead in efforts to increase Lane4’s data maturity

Person Specification:

We are looking for candidates who can work autonomously and with confidence in their own expertise to bring a mature and knowledgeable skill set to Lane4, and who can demonstrate the skills and experience in the areas listed below:

Essential skills and experience:

  • Azure and sequel database skills to extract, determine and analyse different types of data using various tools such as excel, power BI and SPSS
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills couple with an ability to present data in a meaningful and insightful way
  • High attention to detail and quality to ensure that data is robust and complete
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug technical data problems
  • Be able to articulate data, abstract and difficult concepts to internal Lane4 colleagues and external clients
  • Appetite to continually learn and adapt to new technology
  • Ability to use data to tell a story, with a flair for consistent and appealing data visualisation

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience in working with more niche technologies (SQL, DAX, Power Query M, data warehouse, data lake, data factory, LRS, JSON flattening, API, U-SQL, Spark, AWS etc)
  • Advanced use and understanding of BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, etc
